GENERAL PURPOSE


The incumbent will be responsible for  the complete, life cycle data generation and outlining critical information for each business unit.

A multi skilled analyst that is responsible for processing large sets of data and connecting that with actions that can drive business impact. Campaign Management and resource planning. You’ll need to be able to explore data, process it, and think very deeply about how to communicate your findings to management.

The data analyst will be responsible for importing, cleaning, transforming, and validating, modelling data with the purpose of migrating data from source systems to a target system and reporting as per business requirements and campaign management.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Turn data into information, information into insight and insight which support business decision making,
  • Communicate with Business to identify relevant data and data sources
  • Collaborate with data stakeholder\s to define data extraction and transformation rules
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Perform detailed analysis and identify data and business rule trends
  • Manipulate data to conform to the data rules as defined by business
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data quality
  • Identify data anomalies and communicate their impact  with the business
  • Communicate data requirements to the business
  • Test, validate and reconcile uploaded data
  • Direct business resources on where to store the data.
  • Use sources of information and media to gain new knowledge and skill.
  • Develop, enhance and run regular reports to support operation requirements
  • Explore and analyze datasets with tools like Excel
  • Identify data required to answer questions
  • Execute data analysis and interpret data based on business requirements
  • Perform data quality tests on data sources
  • Visualize data insights and communicate your findings to various teams across the organization
  • Ensure data quality and alignment between business units
  • Continuous business and industry research to provide guidance around data governance and data management
  •  Analyze and make use of national and local data & insight to design and deliver customer focused services that address the priority areas of CRM
  • Provide timely and Accurate data required to help stakeholders to report
  • Identify and define the data requirements necessary to support different business requirements or integrated application and subject areas.
  • Identify and define the security requirements necessary to protect the data items.
  • Identify and define the business rules associated with the data; these should include all data integrity / constraint requirements.
  • Identify and perform detailed analysis of all data sources for each application and subject area.
  • Perform data profiling of data contained in source systems.
  • Provide detailed analysis of all data implemented into the database.
  • Provide the data mapping and associated transformation rules for each data item.
  • Ensure that the business requirements and subsequent development activities are supported by accurate information
  • Extract and draw up data cleansing specifications
  • Validate data models against the business- and data requirements.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, integrity and conformity to standards of all models.
  • Provide accurate Master data, which allows full understanding of the project data components.
  • Work with modelling tools and data repository to maintain project deliverables
  • Daily statistical analysis
  • Creation of forecast i.e. Weekly, bi weekly, monthly, annually
  • Ensure that teams have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time
  • Negotiate with senior stakeholders to deliver resourcing and strategic requirements
  • Work with the line managers to understand the current pipeline of work that is expected over the short term (less than 3 months) and the medium term. Use this information to understand the expected resourcing and campaign design requirements that may be required over these periods to plan ahead
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy, of all outputs ; Analyze resourcing data and highlight any concerns in periods of peak, training or non-chargeable activities (shrinkage) which will impact business performance
  • Understand the drivers behind occupancy and occupancy management;
  • MI and Reporting: Understand resource management reporting requirements, and deliver all reports as per business accordingly
  • Interpret trends and identifying potential resourcing issues from weekly reporting and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness to provide insight to the Business, highlighting any concerns of staff shortfall, over/under occupancy and Provide robust commentaries to support analysis
  • Provide post-campaign report analysis through conducting customer segmentation, propensity models, and/or statistical insight analysis
  • Preparations campaign briefs
  • Provide strategic insights around the data generated from campaigns
  • Train relevant parties on system requirements for campaigns


EDUCATION


  • Grade 12
  • Data analytics qualification: Data science, MIS


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS


        Essential 

  • 2yrs experience in a contact centre (Inbound & or Outbound)
  • Experience working with contact centre monitoring systems
  • Report design 
  • Proficient in MS Excel,
  • Logical reasoning
  • Detail oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
